Common questions
- How do I close my step gap?
- Open StrideHeist and check your homepage. If you're short on steps, deploy a mission and the app will generate a walking route sized to close the gap.
- Why does StrideHeist need my location?
- Location is used only while a mission is active, to generate your route and track your progress in real time. You can manage this permission any time in your device Settings.
- Why does StrideHeist need access to Apple Health?
- We read your step count through Apple Health (HealthKit) to detect your step gap and track mission progress. You can turn this off any time in the Health app or your device Settings, though core features won't work without it.
- How do I sign in?
- You can explore StrideHeist without an account. To save your progress, codename, streaks, and rank across sessions, sign in with an email and password, or with Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google.
- How do I delete my account?
- Open Settings inside the app and select Delete Account. This submits your request to us directly, and we complete deletion within 30 days.
- I found a bug or the app isn't working right. What do I do?
- Email us at bugs@strideheist.com with a short description of what happened and, if possible, your device model and iOS version. That helps us track it down faster.
